kVA is not overnight runtime
An inverter’s power rating describes what it can supply at a moment in time. How long it runs depends largely on battery energy, losses and the appliances in use.
Allow for starting demand
Pumps, fridges and other motor-driven appliances may need more power when starting than while running. Check the actual appliance and inverter specifications, including surge duration.
Check compatibility before upgrading
Battery voltage, battery management communication, charging settings and any existing solar array must match the proposed inverter. A bigger inverter is not automatically a compatible replacement.
Plan safe integration
Transfer arrangements, protection, earthing and grid or generator integration require qualified assessment. Do not attempt live electrical connections from online instructions.
Questions before you begin
How much does a solar system cost in Aba?
The price depends on your appliance loads, backup hours, battery capacity, equipment and installation requirements. An itemised proposal is more useful than a price based on inverter kVA alone. Our cost guide explains what to compare.
Can solar power my freezer or air conditioner?
It can be designed for those loads, but running watts, compressor starting demand, operating hours and battery storage all matter. Share the actual appliance ratings for an assessment rather than relying on a generic package.
